Question by : where could I test a large variety of golf clubs for free?
I want to test out a few different drivers with different shafts. Also I am looking for someone there to be able to steer me in the right direction for my club speed and ability not just to sell me the most expensive driver out there. I have heard of something called pro days? where different club manufactures have clubs available to hit at a driving range where you can test out which ones you like best. where could I locate these around the pittsburgh area?

Not sure where you are but in Canada you could try Golftown, they have a large selection and have facilities on site where you can actually hit the clubs.
Also any reputable local golf shop should be able to help… most will like you take a handful of clubs to a nearby driving range hit them. They tend to have demo sets for that reason.

Question by thaicemann2525: What grades and golf scores would i need to play golf at Emory University or a division three school like it?
other schools include NYU, Carnegie Mellon, and other Division Three golf teams. Right now I have a GPA in between 3.7 and 3.8. I have not taken the ACT or SAT yet, but will soon. My handicap is around 8. I am a sophomore who has lettered in golf two years in a row as well as second team all district as a sophomore.

With a greater number of students applying for college than ever before, most schools are raising the standards for entrance so the SATs scores are significant. As for the golf, the same standard applies. With more students looking to play at the college level the better the competition and the lower the handicap to make the team. We had tryouts for the college golf team more years ago that I care to remember. Alternates were also chosen. We played most of the matches at match play. If one faltered badly, an alternate would take his place at the next competition. At the time I was a 3 handicap and played # 4 on a six man team. Never was bounced and enjoyed the experience immensely. Work hard on the academics as well as the short game and want to see you Numero uno on the team your senior year.

Question by katzy: Billy Payne of Augusta Golf Club, is he out of line speaking out about Tiger?
I mean why doesn’t he just leave it alone. He is a jerk anyway to not let women play on his golf course. What century was he born in. Then commenting on Tiger’s behavior before he plays in the big tournament. If he is so adamant about it then why does he let Tiger play there at all , after all he keeps women off the course. Why not Tiger? What say all you Golf officiators.

Your argument isn’t coherrent.
If he hit Tiger in the face with a bat, I’d have no problem with it…
Free Speech right?

Question by Amber: Does anyone know how to retrieve a golf club that’s in the bottom/middle of a lake?
I know this sounds impossible, but it happened and the people working at the resort are saying there’s just no way they could get it, the water’s too dirty. Thing is, the club is a Honma edition that they no longer make and well, a club set isn’t a set without all of its clubs. It’s a golfer thing.
Do you know where I can find a professional scuba diver in California in the LA County? or the Orange County? The resort aren’t helping like AT ALL.

Go to a golf shop and they can help you out. I would say at most, adding a half inch to an inch should be enough for you.
